Tentative plans for a webcomic that Jack The Ripper and I are planning, about Rayne and her siblings as teenagers in high school. Could be awesome . . .

Along the bottom are:
Rayne (punk/rebel, 9th grade)
Bella (drama queen, 12th grade)
Ephie (emogoth, 10th grade)
Lucy (dippy werewolf, 9th grade)
and Ferril (who knows . . . 11th grade)

New artwork + a tiny ridiculous contest!

Here are the rules:
In the picture are nine visual allusions, like inside jokes, to other other parts of the BloodRayne universe. Some are references to other BloodRayne artwork in my gallery (link below), some are to Thicker Than Blood, some are to the games, some are to the comics, and some are to random other things that have popped up over time. (And one is extremely subtle so I'll let it slide, but if you're really clever and get it I will be impressed.) I'll start you off with an easy one: the penguin backpack is from the Schoolgirl Rayne outfit that you can unlock in BR2.

If anyone can correctly identifty all of them and what they are referring to, I will do a free inked drawing for you.

Rayne and candy! Better together!


Also the Tiny Ridiculous Contest (mentioned above) is now closed! Thank you to everyone who participated. The winner is elgaladangel on deviantart.
The answers were:

- The picture on the wall is of Uwe Boll, director of the two terrible BloodRayne movies.
- The darts in it are a reference to the Red Blood Run comic, wherein Rayne throws darts at a bad film director while he is pinned to a wall.
- The butterflies on Rayne's jammies are a reference to a conversation she has with Severin in BR2 (triggered in Club Strages after you pull down the ceiling and climb up onto the roof) about the butterfly collection she used to have as a little kid.
- She's hugging a Lucy plushie.
- The bear on the bed is from the Skies Afire comic.
- The Evanescence poster is a reference to the enduringly hilarious MTV video mod of Rayne singing "Everybody's Fool"
- The chair and the table were seen in this (old) drawing of Lucy in Rayne's room from my gallery.
- And the penguin bookbag belongs to Schoolgirl Rayne.

The one very subtle thing I didn't count but said I would be impressed if anybody caught was Severin's wedding ring, an allusion to his wife, Valerie (mentioned in TTB), whom he was married to before he got Ephemera'd. And congratulations to Synthetice for catching it! I am very impressed.
